Ashlee Simpson has gone over to the dark side – in more ways than one. First there’s her newly dyed locks, which, let’s face it, aren’t the most dramatic transformation Kid Sister Simpson has made recently (cough). Then there’s her gothic Thomas Wylde Kings Cross Skull handbag, a slouchy black leather satchel with two large front pockets and silver cross-like adornments. I’m not a big fan of this bag’s (or brand’s) edgy aesthetic, but I guess Ashlee needed to remind us that she’s not just another pop princess – she’s a pop princess of darkness.Hermes Birkin bag

We’re all willing to spend good money on a handbag we want, right? Of course good money and $2500 are two totally different things, especially when you’re dealing with a bag from a fashion newbie. Thomas Wylde is the creation of designer Paula Wylde and while her skull motifs stuff for awhile (mostly because of Alexander McQueen), I don’t know how it will carry on for the next few years. Here is a new Colossus Scorpion Bag from TW, and I’m thinking it’s just a little too dramatic. Who could get away with this, other than Mary-Kate Olsen on her worse days? I’m all for experimenting, but I can’t see this one catching on. What are your thoughts?Chanel Wallet

Didn’t realize Heidi Klum had a dark side, did ya? Yep, underneath that smiling German supermodel veneer lurks a gal with a taste for the macabre. Well, when it comes to handbags, anyway. Heidi gave her graphic black and white maxi dress a gothic touch by pairing it with a spooky skull-print tote from Thomas Wylde. Heidi’s famous for her star-studded Halloween parties, so it’s natural that she’d fall for a purse that embodies that ghoulish spirit. But seriously, Heidi – how much stuff are you planning to pack in there?

A good weekender can be hard to find, and while the LV Keepall is a go-to, it often makes you a target when you’re roaming through a packed airport. Carrying something under the radar is the way to go, although with the price tag of $1,750, I’m not sure how that works. The Thomas Wylde Metallic Weekender is the perfect bright light and totally reminds me of heading to LA for a weekend stay at The Standard. The super shiny leather has the glam factor, while the brushed hardware gives it an edge. Metallics are wildly known for having the color rubbed off, so I’m not sure how fabulous this bag can be, but I sure would love to find out! Lovin’ the name of this bag. Nomads roam from place to place and most modern Nomads do this because their lives are just that darn fabulous. As I’m sure you’ve already heard fringe is huge for fall, as it adds to that awesome luxe hippie vibe that we’re all trying to pull off. I love this Thomas Wylde Nomad Fringe handbag because it adds a definite edge to a look that might otherwise consist of only a black top, black skinnies and black boots. Always the one to love skulls whether they’re in or out, I adore the tiny skulls that that offset the leather strap. Bonus: you can carry this bag messenger style, leaving your hands free for looking like you just don’t care even though you’re toting a $2800 bag. Punk Rock design label Thomas Wylde first made a name in handbags with lots of studded and embossed skulls on its purses. This season, the goth-chic decor continues in a more subtle, but sophisticated form with this Voodoo Anaconda Clutch. The metallic snakeskin leather with blood-red piping strikes a spooky silhouette indeed. For your Halloween fix, look inside the bag for the spider-print satin lining… at e-luxury for $975.Louis Vuitton purse

Sporting a new pixie cut, Halle Barry embraced her “Wylde” side with Thomas Wylde’s Santa Cruz handbag paired with a mint and brown sundress. The handbag is a bucket bag boasting soft brown leather, heavy silver chain straps, and funky leather fringe on each side. Think boho babe with a luxury twist. I’ll get right to it. My guess, is that the lovely Heidi Klum is wearing a Thomas Wylde handbag. Heidi has been spotted withThomas Wylde before and the skulls are a sort of tell all, but it is missing the standard logo name plaque. I’m just not quite sure …… what do you think? Whatever this bag is, I love it, and apparently so does Heidi, she’s been wearing it around town a lot lately! She wore it out shopping, (as pictured here) when she visited the “Good Morning America” show, to work, and out with her kids. I can’t say I blame her, who doesn’t love a big cozy summer bag? I mean, you could fit a small child in that thing if you had too, it’s huge! Find a Thomas Wylde bag of your own luxury purse
